Is UK worth it..

Post by desijatt » Thu Sep 09, 2010 9:37 am

With Job losses now in public sector, caps on visas.

Govt plans to tighten extensions, make citizenship difficult.

Tories plan to cut the route between work and settlement.

Like every individual going to a country, i expect to settle down few yrs down the way living by the rules. When bringing ur dependents from India, u gotta buy a house, buy furniture, crockery, car. U start from scratch.

With the current govt plans and anti immigration crackdown.. is it worth the risk.. suppose u are jus near ILR and they just change the rules..go back where u come from...

What a waste..
As an individual i wud prefer to have PR atleast then spend my resources to settle down. I think its very imp to have a plan B when its comes to UK immigration. Either by applying to Canada,NZ or AUS.

Any comments guys, any of viewpoints, plans to share.

I agree. We have a back up plan and I suggest everyone else should too. It's hard living here now. Degrees don't really matter to prospective employers so I see a lot of recent graduates and talented people who have just been made redundant, taking any job that comes their way even if it doesn't pay a fraction of what they used to earn.

Even the posts on this board are getting more and more depressing such as a recent post about someone living in the park  .
I tell it like it is.
