Work Permit Legal?

Post by raju_chacha » Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:18 am

One of my aqaintance organised and advertised for a JOB in IT and I applied and he got my work permit approved for the same. I am now on WP of a different company.

Is it legal? If not, whose liability is to ensure compliance with law? If this is not legal, what are the penalties on both parties?

Secondly, I worked for a third company from whom the company sponsoring the work permit got the payments and paid to me according to its payroll. Effectively I worked for different companies than this company.

Is it legal? If not, whose liability is to ensure compliance with law? What are the max. penalties on each party?

Who is paying your acquaintance? Who is paying you?

If the company that got the WP is the employer then no problem.
