Family Visit 6mth First time visa - Urgent advice pls -

Post by carol123 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 12:11 pm

Hi, I just came accross this site just now and wish I had found it before applying for my mother in laws visa.

Ive been reading through some of your posts and something has come to my alarm. I was reading a post about long term visit of 2 years to look after children and someone said this could be looked upon as replacing the childminder and bordering on taking employment....

We are applying for my mother in laws visit visa, she has never been out her country, so this is first time application, of 6mths. I have wrote on the sponsor letter that we would love her to come stay with us to spend time with out children and us etc but also said that it would enable me to help out in our business if she was here with the kids..... I dont mean that by having her watching the kids constantly i just mean it that i have someone here so can dedicate more time into our business if necessary whilst she is here.... im not replacing anyone and have no intentions of finding a childminder so would this be okay do u think??

She attends the visa application centre tomorrow so I still have time to take that bit out of the letter if i send the document by email and have someone re print it.... what do u think???

thank you, ive decided to take it out, i can understand why they say this as a ground for refusal if it is the main purpose of visit.. in our case it most definetly is not a reason for her visit so no point mentioning anything like that... thanks for your reply
