NEED ADVICE ON SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING SCHEME PROGRAM

Iam presently in uk on student visa and in a university in london doing a top-up course leading to award of Bsc. in Microbiology.Actually i have Bsc in Microbiology from Nigeria university but third class and vetted my degree with Naric and okay but when i wanted to register with IBMS-i want ask to go for top up with some listed university before i could be registered and i am presently doing one year there and since i intend to settle here eventually,iam trying to legalise my stay.
My problem is i want to start planning for my next course of action after the degree and intend joining the scheme and be pursuing my registration-how do i go about it or what other way could i go about it since my field is on the shortage list but could not apply for HSMP as i dont have experience in uk and i can scale through salary cateria.

Any useful subject will be appreciated.
