Visa Success!

Post by Wanderer » Sat Feb 18, 2006 1:54 pm

Just a note to thank for the advice here!

My gf received her student visa extension via form FLR(S) without any delay and without any problems.

We applied on 20th Jan 2006 via registered post and recieved the visa, actually "Residence Permit' on the 16th Feb 2006.

Just goes to show if you are honest and do not try and abuse the system you will have few problems.

We are very happy at the moment!

Steve

Ooops, should have said!

Visa is until the end of the course, October 2008.

From Sept 2006 to June 2007 she will be in Germany as part of her course and I still feel this will be a major stumbling block to our UPV plans. However, I just might go with her! Anyway at least we now have options.

The main thing I've learned is the authorities here aren't ogres, but if you have a poor immigration history or have used deceit to obtain EC, you'll rightly get jumped on.

So, I'm one saying lets hear it for our IND, much maligned but serviced us in quick time - pity about the fees though especially now Nadia has to register with the police according to the letter, another 34 quid.....

Ste and Nadia
