Notification delay

Post by rezz » Sun Jan 30, 2011 12:04 pm

I sponsored a family visitor application at the end of November. We have not received the final notification on the decision of the application yet.

I am wondering should we contact someone to get more info on the status of the application because it seems to be taking loner then what other people has experienced if so how do we request this

If the timeline has exceeded what is stated in the customer service standards, then contact the nearest BHC in the country of application for status / explanation.

Has anyone expericened some long delays in geeting theior applications processed. I sponspered a family visitor application but it is going on nearly 90 days and it has not be completed. I think the time limit is 180 days but I heard this is in a very small percentage and most are completedd within a month. Why is my one taking so long?

What has been your experinces in having an application take this long. Is this any inidcation on how likily it is to be successfuly. I know some other people did their application about the same time and they were rejected within three weeks so could this be good news or bad news for my application?

Perhaps because it falls under that "small percentage"!

The point is that no one but BHC / caseworker can provide an answer to such a question!

My family vistor application is already over 4 month processing.
I have contacted the immgration offices and they say they are still doing checks.

What checks will they be doing that takes so long?

Any that they deem necessary to verify claims by applicant or sponsor, and / or to verify that documents submitted are genuine.
