Passport not being stamped upon arrival

Post by ash786 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 12:33 pm

I am going to start this topic which many people applying for the 10 years category.

1. When you go to your home country then the immigration in u country stamp u passport for both (ENTER & EXIT stamps).
2. Upon arrival in the UK the immigration here does not stamp u passport for both (EXIT & ENTER STAMPS).
3. Has anybody had any problem regarding this issue for 10 years long residence.
4. If the UKBA asks for the proof then what steps people have taken to prove that.

Please share your experience....

1. Depends on the practice followed by the (destination) country.
2. UK does not undertake exit immigration control checks.
3. Stamps in the passport is not the only method / resource available to UKBA to verify an applicant's absence(s) from UK. e.g. - people using IRIS when entering UK never have their passports stamped.
4. Letters confirming attendance (e.g. - employment / study), appointment letters (any kind), flight itineraries / tickets, boarding cards, etc.. Search the forum and you'll find information posted by applicants in this regard.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

The best way is to do a SAR nearer to your long residence application.

Also, If I may ask you, If I may to tell us, when you are planning to submit your application??
