VISITING VISA VAF1B Form Clarification

Post by Aani » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:14 pm

Dear All,

I am in the process of applying Visiting visa for my Mother in law. Can someone clarify

1. In the VAF1B Form

4.17 Please provide full details for each of your DEPENDANT children

My Mother in law has 3 children but they are not dependent on her. Do I still have to write all the 3 names though they are not dependent on her.

2. Is it mandatory to get Travel insurance for her? And Is that need to be submitted with VISA application? She is 50 years old.

3. Also, my father in law is handicapped. We have a certificate for the same. Is it good to keep this document to mention the strong reason to return? (I am worried in keeping this document that ECO should not take it other way round that leaving a handicapped husband to visit UK?)

4. Please someone clarify the below documents is sufficient?

From Sponsor:

1. 3 months payslip.
2. 3 months Bank statement
3. Utility Bills.
4. Visa and passport copy of sponsor.
5. Sponsor Letter.

From Applicant

1. VAF1B application form
2. Property Documents
3. Father in law physically challenged (??)
4. Photo (45mm*35mm)
5. Bank statement holding 2 lakhs (INR)
6. Ration Card ( to show her children... This is not English. Can we translate and attest it??)
7. Cover letter about strong ties.
8. Travel Insurance (?? Is this mandatory??)

Thanks for reading the post and thanks in advance for the reply.

Kind Regards,
Aani

If they are not dependant on her, then there is no need to put them down

No it is not mandatory

It is both a advanatage as well as an disatavantage for teh reasons that you have mentioned above.

Hello Batleykhan,

Thank you for your advice. If you could help me with one more question It will be very useful.

The bank statements we have sent from UK to India are till the statement cycle of April 9.

ie) Jan 9th to Feb 8th
Feb 9th to March 8th
March 9th to April 9th.

My mother in law has got an appointment on 4th May. Are these bank statements suffice (As they are within one month of the application date ) or do I have to send bank statements till April end? as she is applying on May.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Aani
