Changing from tourist to fiance visa

I am currently looking into living in the UK with my now girlfriend but future wife. She is Peruvian and I am Scotish so I need to find out about visas. Firstly is it posible for her to come here to Scotland on a tourist visa, then us change that to a fiance visa, then change again to a spouce visa after marrige?

Visitor -> Fiancee -> Spouse: Cannot switch.
Fiancee -> Spouse: Can switch.

ok. So if when she comes to Scotland it needs to be on a fiance visa, about how long will that process take for me to organise her visa? also can I be on a state benifit and her still receive the visa? if I have to be working is there a miminum amount of time in the job before the visa would be granted? also is it not right that there is more than 1 kind of fiance visa. If so what are they?
