Visit Visa form_Relative in the UK

Hi All

I would like to ask a question on behalf of my friend.

He acquired UK nationality through long residence 2 years ago. His parents visited UK few times in last 5 years but every time they applied for visit visa never mentioned about their son as the relations between son and parents were not good and they were not even speaking to each other for long time. Note that they never needed any sponsorhip from their son due to well established business in the Asia.

Anyhow the time has past and now the family is togather and have good relations among them.

Now the question is that his parents wants to visit UK and he insisting that they should mention about him in the visa form so that they can come and stay with him this time, would this make any affect on their visit visa they are going to apply? As on previous occassions they never mentioned about him been in the UK.

OR should they just apply their visit visa as usual without any sponsorship from their son and without mentioning about him in the UK.
