Visitor visa for father-in-law

Post by jaingautam83 » Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:27 pm

Hello.. My wife is expecting and my father-in-law wants to visit us to accompany her back to India.. He owns a business in India.. Does he need the a proof of ownership (He has one, but its in local language and translating it would unnecessarily consume time)..

Also does he need to show a marriage certificate? He is visiting alone and my mother-in-law's name appears in his passport..

Thirdly, I would be sponsoring his trip. However, I have arrived in the UK just 3 months back, whereas the supporting docs require 6 months of bank statement.. Would this be an issue?

Looking forward to your assistance..

Many thanks,
Gautam

Yes. This will help. Translation does not take long

No

If you are doing permanent job or drawing regular income then it should not be a problem. I would suggest you to enclose Bank Statement and Payslips for last 3 months.

Looking forward to your assistance..

Many thanks,
Gautam
