Driving offences abroad

Post by forum_ukilr » Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:54 pm

Gentleman/Ladies,
Sorry bit of lenghty email.

i have Drunk & drive conviction in USA , Un-fortunately i have disclosed this in my extension in 2009.

As per US law , Ist time drunk drive is not felony and hence there will not be any record.I have done Crime record search online , i could not find any iterations of record.

In UK I do not have any convictions.

questions

1. Iam confused whether US offense will be treated as unspent conviction in UK even though not shown in crime records in USA.
Should i treat this as unspent or not

2. Do case workers have access to my previous applications or will my US conviction is stored in UK immigration records.

any advice would be very helpful.

Regards
UKILR
