Hi all,
I am work permit holder (Staff Nurse - NHS Band 5) and been in UK since September 2004. I got 5 years work permit. But in April 2006 I changed my employer and got change of employment approval letter as I am working for the same post and in the same band for new employer (NHS again). In July I applied for FLR (IED) as I need to because of change of employment and got the approval for further 5 years. Now my visa is vaild until 28 July 2011. In September 2009 I will complete my 5 years in continuous employment in UK and I can apply for ILR. But for this I need to take employment letter from my employer. So my question is will my employer will give letter for cotinuous employment as My work permit and visa both are valid until July 2011 (that is 1 year 10 months further at the time of my ILR application). I am worried because of current crisis in NHS.
Is it the general practice that employer gives this type of employment letter as the supporting document for ILR applicaiton.
Thanks & Regards,
