work permit - need guidance

Post by smartbhupi » Mon Sep 04, 2006 11:11 am

Hi,

This is my first post on this helpful forum.

One of employer is gonna sponsored me for a job in his company and he is soon applying for my work permit. So now my query is if i get my work permit can i accompany my wife and 6 months old kid to uk with me. As they are really dependent on me and i can also show financial support from my father-in-law and myself too. So what is the miminum finances we have to show and what are the supporting documents we need to put in the file so the uk embassy will provide the visa for my wife and minor son too without any hesitation.

I just heard that it is not easy to get visa for your family members. So Please i am thankful to you if you help me out from this issue, and provide your valuble comments.

I would suggest you move to UK first and try to save as much as you can in 6 months and then get them over to the UK

by that time you may be able to save some decent amount

Read the guidelines here:

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/

As long as you follow the guidelines and meet the requirements, there should be absolutely no problem bringing your dependents over. Read the guidelines and you should be fine.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.
