4. What is the total amount in GBP(£)? Where is this question? I have looked at the form and can't seem to find this question in the income/expense section.
This is the last question in the 'Employment and Income' section. I am filling the online form at the visa4uk.fco.gov.uk website.

Also, these questions:-

The cost of your accommodation foreign typed language removed by moderator

She would be staying with me, so assume this should be £0.00

The cost of your living expenses foreign typed language removed by moderator
Is this all expenses in UK ?

Please explain why they are paying towards the cost of your trip?
What reason can be given for son-in-law paying for part of her trip? Isn't this just 'normal'?

Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years?
Is this only for in-country extension or does this mean any visa refusal from outside the UK too?

Hi,
I want to apply for my mum's family visitor visa. I am british national and she had visited uk once in the past. I am self employed with a private ltd company. Can anyone please let me know what documents do we need to submit to support her application? She'll be applying from Pakistan.

Thanks

My mothers visa was rejected first time. I'm waiting for second time. You'll need to submit bank statment, proof of source of funds for trip, proof of monthly income, assets - land/stocks etc.., occupation. Dependents and proof they exist like other young siblings, sponsor letter, your income, bank statement, and proof of address. They will call you in 2 working days to confirm if you've sponsored anyone and a week or two later they'll conclude the application. If they conclude 1-5 days after the sponsor call, there is a good chance I think the visa has been refused.

Thank you for quick response. As I am sponsoring her, does she need to show her bank statements? She is dependant on my brother in pakistan and lives with him. She is a widow. She has a property on her name. I can ask her to get Family tree document from Nadra as well. Do I need to show my salary slips or accountant letter or 6 months bank statements are sufficient? Also how much money should be there in bank and for how long? for example do I need to maintain a certain balance for 3 or 6 months to be able to sponsor?

Sameer. I think the emails are generic. More days it took, indicate you passed the initial checks and your application was given more consideration. I'm also waiting on the email. What time (Pakistani time) did you get the email?

Hi,
Applied for mother in Law family visit application 10.02.2016
Got call from HO in the UK for few questions about family in Paksitan, income, etc.
We were expecting her decision back now. However,
Today she received call from Abu Dhabi to attend the interview tomorrow.
Is there any one who has got the same experience,
or what type of questions they are going to ask during the interview.
Is it positive sign or ?

your help is highly appreciated.
Indeed this is a great forum.

Interview t was done by video spam_do_not_click_here. They asked the same q's again from him which are on the application form and some more like how long do you intend to stay, what do your other children do, does your son send any money to you, how long has your son been in the UK, now you are retired; what were you doing before?

Thanks Razi for your help, Interview Done over the phone, as on given date application couldn't reach to the application centre due to some protests. So, after 2 days interview was done over the phone. They asked most of questions from application centre and went in detail about financial statement.
They also asked about family and about sponsor and questions about children in the UK etc to check how strong is the link.
Today received the eMail application has been concluded. Now, waiting for call to collect the passport. Hopefully, with visa granted.

This forum is indeed a great help.
Time line for mother in law visit Visa

28.02.16: received call for interview at VAC Lahore
02.03.16: Concluded eMail from Abu Dhabi

in the interview they have asked most questions from the application and few questions out of the application. Also asked for few justifications about large sums on the bank statement.

Hi guys,

I missed the details of last passport from latest when filling out my application form for visit visa.

It's now submitted and appointment booked.

Can it be updated or would I need to start a new application? Is it worth the hassle or shall I leave it ?

Thanks

Hello,, I have applied for 5 years standard visit visa.. as my in law family is living in the UK and to cut all the hassle of applying visa every time we would love to visit them..

I received an email on 21st Mar that my visa has been prepared for assesment at ECO

since then no further email from them ..

today I recieved an email from VFS that my passport is ready to be collected..

I remember last time I applied and got granted UK visa there is also email stated that ' your application has been concluded' but since I don't recieve any email from them is that mean I got refused??

Same happened with my parents' visa applictaion. I didn't receive any "concluded" email but the one from VFS. Unfortunately visa applications were turned down. I've reapplied my parents' visa which is still in processing.

Did you get the visa?

Did you appeal or administrative review?

Are family visit visa rejectors allowed appeal or has to be a new application?

Thanks

Always has to be a new application. No appeal/review.

Did you get a decision on your application yet? Did you get any confirmation email from embassy?
