Married name

Post by yaelhitch » Sat Mar 12, 2011 4:51 pm

My husband came to uk on a spouse visa, he is now applying for his indefinte. I didn't change my surname to his surname when we got married so our documents have my maiden name on it will this look bad for the application?

No.

To adopt a spouse's surname is your choice, not a compulsion.

I haven't had an issue either. I applied and successfully got a dependent visa- I've still maintained my maiden name in all my documents. So don't worry, you'll be fine
