British Citizen to Irish Citizen

Post by jcarrick » Sun Sep 02, 2012 4:22 pm

Hi, I am a British Citizen and I have been living here in Ireland for the past 3 years studying. Can I apply for Irish Citizenship if I wanted to? Just out of curiosity :P

i am not sure, but i think you still need 5 years in total. 3 years isn't enough in your case. as you are british, it does not matter what you are doing in ireland, as long as you can provide evidence of your residence in ireland.
