zambrano application

I want to say a big thank you to every member of this forum,I applied for zambrano in the state based on my Irish son,i have sent all the necessary documents to the repatriation unit over a month ago and i haven't heard anything from them and i want to send additional documents to them but i don't have any reference number so don't know how they will link it to my file. Please advice
1] how long does it take to get a letter of acknowledgement or letter of application
2) how long does it take to get a decision .
3) advise how to send the additional documents without a reference number.

Hi.
i am no the same boat man.
As far as I was told zambrano takes approximately 8-9 months.
I have sent documents to repatriation section as well less than a months and there is no answer from INIS so far.
we have to wait unless they require more documents if any.
But if everything is OK we get zambrano

It says clearly on the http://www.inis.gov.ie/ site that
" As a matter of public policy, the INIS will not be applying the terms of the Zambrano Judgment to any third country parent of an Irish born citizen child or children who has been convicted of serious and/or persistent criminal offences."

Does this apply to criminal offences anywhere in the world or only to Ireland?
