De facto visa Ireland

Hi all
I am Australian and currently in Ireland on a visitors visa. My boyfriend is irish and we are looking at applying for a de facto visa. We have been together for 2 years and lived together for 1 year 8 months. I was 17 years old when we started dating and moved in together, will this have a disadvantage on my application? will it affect me? we have all the supporting documentation and I am 18 years old now but nervous about the age in which we got together? will my application be ok.

A few documents my lawyer has told me to include that will help the application process is:
- rental statements with both names on it
- wedding invitations, birthday invitations, festive cards etc with both names
- joint bank account details
- description of relationship written or typed up and signed by both of you
- hotel bookings, plane tickets etc with both names on them
- photos with dates on them

Yes if you supply all of that in your application you will be in a good position. I also supplied some written character statements from my Irish friends and my partners mum too. I think the more you supply the better.

As for your age and the 2 years proof of relationship - I am not sure but you might call the Immigration council as they will be able to guide you in the right direction. http://immigrantcouncil.ie/pages/contact

I doubt they would approve an application that does meet the minimum requirements but you never know!

It takes about 6-8 weeks to complete the visa approval process (for me this was the timing).
