De facto visa Ireland

Post by KellySP » Fri Jan 22, 2016 3:17 pm

Hi

I am Irish and have been together with my Brazilian boyfriend for 3 years, living together in Brazil for 2.
I've looked on the Inis website and we fulfill all the criteria for the de facto visa. My question is can we come to Ireland and apply for the visa then go back to Brazil and return to Ireland when the visa is ready?

Thanks

Kelly

Hi Kelly, best to call the immigration council Ireland http://immigrantcouncil.ie/pages/contact

They will tell you what you can and cant do. I think there is a rule that you need to remain in the state (Ireland). Make a list of questions and give them a call... they are so helpful!

Good luck
