Relocating to Ireland - EU national and non-EU Spouse

Greetings everyone!

I tried to search, but couldn't find answer to my question.

Summary:
myself - EU national
spouse - non Eu national
currently we are both living and working in Czech Republic

Currently we have decided to move to English speaking country to make life easier for both of us. My spouse might be offered position in Ireland, then we would relocate and have immigration support from his employer. However if this doesn't happen we would relocate to Ireland anyway.

My question is if we move on our own to Ireland, I understand that I can come and live/work in Ireland as Im EU national and start looking for job opportunities immediately. Does the same apply for my spouse as we are married and she is family member of Eu national, meaning my spouse can start looking for job and stat working immediately (after the required registration) or I would have to secure a job first?

The non-EU partner will be required to submit a written application to the EU Treaty Rights department. Once the application is received by the department, they may or may not give the non-EU person a temporary permission, which usually lasts for 6-12 months, while they examine the application. That person can start working when they receive the temporary permission.

And no you don’t have to be employed at the time of the application, although it is preferable if you have secured a job.
