visitor visa

Post by bunny80 » Sat Dec 20, 2008 5:28 pm

I was wondering if anyone here had any idea about this. How easy is it for a US citizen to enter Ireland and stay there for 90 days? Will they ask a lot of questions, is it as hard as it in the UK?

My girlfriend was denied entry into the UK because she tried to entry on a tourist visa and then probably get married if possible. We are now in Vienna where she wasn't asked a single question after landing so we woud be going to Ireland about a week before her Schengen tourist visa expires. I am not sure if the UK denied stamp or the fact that she just spent 80 days or so in Schengen would make a difference. We don't plan on getting married in Ireland but we do want to stay there for 2-3 months. I am a EU national(romanian) so it wouldn't be a problem for me. I was also wondering if it would be better for her to be seen together with me or not.

Thanks for any input!
