What is the purpose of photo when payment of fees

Hi, Just heard that we need to upload a photo when paying fees for citizenship.

Is this photo used anywhere?

Hi, after payment how many emails do I expect? I got an acknowledgement email immediately after payment.

you will receive one more mail inthe coming weeks/months after the payment is fully processed.

One more email that fees have been processed and another email - ceremony invitation. Two in total for the whole process.
