I am a 20 year old American male. I'm not looking to immigrate to Ireland, per se. I am going to volunteer over there through a program called wwoofing. I have decided to plan for an initial stay of 90 days; however,
1- Will I be granted a stay of at least 90 days? I have bank statements, a place to stay, and a job to come back to when I come home. I've heard that customs is really cracking down these days and I've already been there once for a period of 30 days (returned Dec. 17th, 2008).
2- Should I say that I'm visiting on "holiday" and include no mention of the volunteer work? (It's not gainful employment)
3- My girlfriend lives there and is an Irish citizen. Should I request a note from her stating I have a place to stay? How formal does this note have to be exactly (do I need a copy of a deed or something)?
4- What are the odds that, assuming I've got money to support myself, I can get an extension on a holiday visit?
Thank you all and regards!
