E-vetting and Passpsort renewal

i submitted my application late last year for nautralization, and recently renewed my passport (old one was valid till mid-year)a few weeks ago.

I have now received the e-vetting invitation and confused if

1. to use the new passport datapage and wait to see if they ask for certification

or

send the datapage to the department saying I renewed my foreign passport and then proceed to use it in the evetting application?

do the "certified copy of the new passport", then notify the citizenship department via email that i renewed my passport and include a copy of the passport certified, then proceed to uploading it for e-vetting afterwards?
