Non-EEA Brother of Irish citizen

Post by manojcr » Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:08 pm

Folks,

I am an Irish citizen (by naturalisation) and my brother, Non-EEA national, is willing to come over to Ireland.

Just wondering is there any chance to get a long term visa (stamp4 from GNIB) ..?
Also will he allowed to work in Ireland ..?

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks.

on the basis of your nationality? slim and f*ck all. Sorry. There is quite a number of cases in relation to this. I will dig them out later.

You should be asking whether or not he would get a stamp whether 3 or 4 never mind long term. Even if you went North, (another member state) you might not be guaranteed (depending on facts) succeed under Directive 2004 / 38 EC

What age is brother, are you working, whats the financial position of both of ye?
