Stamp 4 expiring..passport sent for renewal..what to do?

Stamp 4 expiring..passport sent for renewal..what to do?

My mom got her WCATT a few months ago, and her Stamp4 is supposed to expire in a few days.. thing is, her passport has already expired and she just sent it for renewal and god knows how long that's gonna take cuz our Embassy is real slow..anyways, the stamp on her WCATT on her old passport says that she has to register with the garda before her current residency expires..she doesn't have her passport with her now, what should she do? Also, my dad's passport expired.. but he wasn't granted WCATT, i think he's just allowed to renew his Stamp 4 again.. (he's waiting on naturalisation reply) and his Stamp 4 is due to expire same day as my moms.. (the 17th) so what should they both do?

Wait for the passports when they come go in and apply (some countries have facility of emergency passports issued in a day or two if the reasons/tickets are shown). IO can clearly see the issue date on passports and its not a biggie imho.
