Landing stamp and stamp 4

Post by harprtk » Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:09 pm

Hi Guys,

I am due to apply for my citizenship application as per stamp 4.

Can I check if the reckonable residency start on the day I landed in Ireland with a landing stamp for 90 days or the day my GNIB card was issued?

Thank you :)

The day your GNIB stamp starts, unless you have your Stamp 4 based on asylum.

Thank you :)

I had visa Type D to join Spouse and was given 90 days to apply GNIB card.
Its just confusing because when I put that in the calculator it accepts the Type D visa date as reckonable as well.

I just noticed that. When I applied for it in 2018 there wasn’t such stamps on the residency calculator. Best to email the citizenship department to get a confirmation.

In case anyone is still wondering, according to team 2, you can use your landing staml as you start time to count for residency.
