Application date and 6 weeks absence rule

Post by yomariano05 » Wed Dec 02, 2020 12:11 pm

Hi all,

Many thanks to everyone, this forum has helped me A LOT.

I am about to apply next month so my question is, what is the day they take into account for the application date? Is it the day I am posting my documents through the post office (e.g AnPost) or when my documents arrive to their office? (which is something I can't control)

I'm asking this because based on that I have to decide when suits me best for the 6 weeks absence rule.

Thanks in advance,

The day you sign your name on the form. So, at the latest, the day you post it.

It should only take a day or two to get there, anyway, if you're in Ireland.

The only application date is the date you signed your name in your application in front of the witness.
