Approved on 5 May 2021

Letter stating that application was submitted before the end of the transition period your application is deemed to be an application for a permanent residence document made under Regulation 12 of the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) ( Citizen Rights) regulation 2020. your application was examined under the provisions of the regulations and the relevant provisions of the regulations.

To obtain the Permanent residence document of a family member of a United Kingdom National (Stamp 4)

......

My question is the people who will apply online for registration for permanent residence card should they select Stamp 4 in Question 1.18 ( Permission Type for Renewal )
what should we select in 1.19 Do any of these sub-categories apply to you?

Thanks

That is wonderful. Congratulations. You are the first British citizen that I have seen a decision for in a while.

Is the option of Withdrawal agreement beneficiary card not on the list?

Excellent news. Congrats.

My understanding is you can't do it online.

Have they given you any instructions in the letter to obtain Stamp 4?

As far as I am aware, I have not come across option to apply online though one can only book appointment for Burg Quay office online which is closed as PR needs to obtained in person.

I would email Burg Quay Registration office to find out the process.

If you happen to find the actual procedure, please let us know.

All the best!

If you live in Dublin, and you have a GNIB/IRP card before (regardless of what the basis of the card was), use the online renewal. You will not be allowed to renew in person in Burgh Quay.
If you live in Dublin but never had a GNIB/IRP card before, you would have to wait for Burgh Quay to reopen.

I just checked the online options and none of the options in 1.18 and 1.19 would apply to 'immerso' to renew online.

So I don't see how he could possibly renew it online.

obie has already replied here so I don't understand why you are still saying this.

It is crystal clear that the OP should select Withdrawal Agreement Beneficiary in question 1.18. There is no ambiguity whatsoever on this.

Also, just to stress this again, ALL non-EU nationals who had an IRP card previously and live in Dublin, REGARDLESS of how they obtained the card previously, MUST use the online renewal. There is NO option to renew in person.

Cheers @littlerr.

Well my understanding of Withdrawal Agreement Beneficiary option was different hence I replied coz I used the same option which was introduced for Card Exchange Program.

So @immerso, there you go. As you are the 1st person to renew online for a PR (Post Brexit) in this forum, do let us know how it goes.

Hope everyone else who are waiting gets their approval soon.

Just to be clear every family member of British Citizen are issued the WABC, so that is the option to choose.

Those family members of British citizen who had permanent residency before brexit are also been issued a WABC.

The difference lies in the length of validity they will receive. If they have a passport with 10 years validity, they will receive 10 years or for a period consistent with the validity of their passport.

Hi guys , hope someone can help.

A British citizen friend of mine got permanent residence card application approved recently for his dependents , took about 9 months.

Now the problem is that he submitted an application for naturalisation (minor)last year, about 6 months ago and sent off original passports for the minor and adult who have recently got their PRC applications approved.

And now without passports they can’t get their stamps from Garda station . He sent about 5 emails in the last 6 months requesting the return of passports and an acknowledgment letter but getting standard reply “ due to covid we can can only return passports if it’s a medical emergency “.

My friend did explain it to them in the last couple of emails that they need their passports to get stamp but got the same reply.

It’s been 6 months with no acknowledgment letter and no return of passports.

Any suggestions/ advice will be appreciated.

All permissions to remain in Ireland have been automatically extended to 20 Sept, so there should be no impact on their legal residences here.

Other than that, unfortunately the only thing you can do is to keep waiting. Some countries allow citizens to apply for a second passport in certain scenarios.

So the update is I applied it under Withdrawal Agreement this is the only section left for British Citizens Non EU Family Members where u do not have to pay any fee I select 1.18 Withdrawal Agreement and 1.19 Family member and dependent of EU Citizens

Today I got an email that my IRP card for 10 years is approved and will be with me in 7 to 10 working days.

My passport is only valid for 4 years so I believe I will only get a stamp for 4 years.

Naturalization Application is still pending after 18 months I am not sure getting Permanent Stamp will make any good Impact on that Application.

Thanks Everyone and wish all of u Good luck
