Hi have already applied for Irish citizenship. I applied in July and currently waiting to register my permanent residence card family member of British Citizen online, but I can't apply online until 15th of March because you can only apply online when you have one month left on your current permission to expire and mine temporary stamp is until 15th of April.

Applied via email: 26.06.2021
Email Acknowledgement: never received email acknowledgement
Temporary Extension: 11.10.21 granted after emailing the department
Email to request update : 27.01.22
Approval Received: 25.02.22

Good luck to anyone waiting.

i am not a legal expert but one thing I would like to suggest to people that are waiting for a decision longer than 6 months, please engage with EUTR via email/letter. After numerous consultation with legal experts, i was told that the EU courts have said that 6 months is a reasonable time for the EUTR applications, and once the timeframe goes over 6 months, the Department may potentially be in breach of the EU law.

No, you should get an IRP card that will be valid for 10yrs.

Or not, this system is confusing. They seem to permit applying online for WAB.

My understanding is MK7860 has to go the local garda station as mentioned in the approval letter.

I would definitely say to go to the station as should be better timewise - online renewals take 2 months to proceed and another week or so for an IRP to arrive.

Just out of interest guys, I have recently noticed that those PR people receiving the new residence permit that the department start issuing since March 2022, do not have a statement saying the card was issued under the withdrawal agreement, it simply states stamp 4, and this clearly breaches the terms of the withdrawal agreement.

I am not sure if this is the experience of everyone.

i am still waiting on my local gaurda station to give me an appointment for EU3 card.
It's been nearly 8 weeks. Finding it absolutely awful as I cant really figure out how can they be this busy?
terrible service.

I know it is frustrating, we waited for 55 days for appointment in Cork. If you have any emergency travel plan, you can request for an appointment to be issued asap but it will to their discretion.

Approval letter today. 10 yrs permanent residency card. Applied through a solicitor but case was very straightforward.

Wife non british.
Eu3 applied in October 2020.
Just one temporary permission given during 17 months.

completely acceptable. i can only imagine the metal torture you must have gone through during those 55 days. I actually don't have any emergency travel plans as of now, just finding it extremely frustrating.

my extension card stated stamp 4 rather than withdraw agreement.
still waiting for my 10 years approval, been 5 months now. will contact them by end of this months to find out what's going on.

Well it is fine for the temporary stamp 4 to state just stamp 4.

However, it is wrong for the permanent residence document to state Stamp 4 only.

The treaty states the card must record that it has been issued under the withdrawal agreement.

Therefore either they should call it a stamp 4 WAB card, but some statement must be on it, confirming the card was issued under the withdrawal agreement.

It is unlawful for it to just say stamp 4

I went for my permanent Residence card accompanied by british spouse but the Gardai (outside dublin) didn't know what to give me. I explained to him and he said he was rather going to give me a stamp 4 for 5years and later renew it which I argued that is not right. What should I do?
