No harm in trying, although I'm not sure they answer tbh

Sent my application to the Department last year on 09/02 and received my Irish passport in hands this morning. So back to back the whole process took 1 year, 5 months and 16 days (or 531 days in total).

Good luck to those who are waiting, this process is a bit random sometimes and make sure to always send them more what they are asking when applying for a passport (multiple proofs of addresses and names).

I think eVetting is the last stage, after it's viewed (and if it looks good) you will get approval at some stage.

Any suggestion?

Just be more patient.

My husband has also been waiting for 3 months since his evetting got viewed. He applied in September 2020 and still waiting, so no worries, unfortunately it can take a long time :(

Thank you. Just wonder what's going on as no reasons for a bad e-vetting result.

Sorry for the false hope, but it looks like there hasn't be any significant progress for 2021 applicants in August I believe? Or maybe it's because people are on holiday.

No progress my friend, I have chatted with multiple people applied Feb-Nov 2021, no one got eVetting invitation even, ooe person Jan 21 and one Feb 21 if I remember correctly got their certs, that's pretty much it, no any progress at all for us. I've seen one case here as eVetting is done for one person applied Mar 22,looks like we all are forgotten ((

My application was received by Citizenship on 24/2/21.

I emailed them the other day saying: "I am writing to you with regards to the above application which you received on 24/02/21.

As it has been with you for over 12 months, I would greatly appreciate it if you could inform me of the status of my application. Please let me know if there is anything required from my side."

The response was, " Thank you for your email.
Your application continues to be processed. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has been reached."

I have not received a Garda e-vetting letter or anything since the initial letter with the application reference number and receipt for €175.

-jbminger
I had my application sent in around the same time in 2021 still no Guarda Vetting. Monique Kenny
Have you received anything yet?

I applied in April 2021 and no vetting received yet.
I sent a ten years irp card but still no response.

I wouldn't worry if I were you because they are still trying to catch up with older pending applications from 2020. Hope it helps :)

Well, i am not worried, please understand me correctly, I would be happy if they first will cover all people applied earlier, I only can't understand the logic, why someone gets approved from 21 or now eVetting for 22, while they have not covered all from 19 and 20,it is unfair (I applied on 21 for example) I am for those people for sure, they deserved to be reviewed asap first

From 2020 timeline, I see that even December 2020 applicants got their approval, of course there will be cases that requires more time, and there is an applicant with no update after 2 years but I was hopeful that they would move to June 2021 applicants and onward already.

Is there anyone that applied for FOI after 1 year mark passed? Like an applicant from August-September 2021.

I have a theory that the timeline depends on your acknowledgment date and not your application sent/received date.

The last 2 posts in 2021 timeline thread has 1 month difference between “application sent” dates but they got evetting letters 6 months apart. But if you check their acknowledgment dates, both of them got it after 11 month of their acknowledgment date.

But it’s just a theory ofc.

And i think its just random.

I applied in April 2021, acknowledgement was received after 1 week.
Since then no correspondence from the department.
No e vetting yet.
A work colleague applied the same time as i did and his vetting was done few months ago.

My case is very straightforward, 5 years non eu stamp4eufam. No gaps in residency. No address change, no changes in circumstances.

Current status 10 years valid irp card was posted to the department but still no response.
Solicitor adviced that they need 23 months to respond. Not sure if those 23 months are required to issue a decusion or correspondence?

You can request FOI by yourself, there is a FOI thread about how to fill form and to send where. Most people suggest doing it to see with their application progress after a year. Afaik, 2 years time needed to send a JR route threatening letter not before that.

There was a post recently that someone's solicitor sent a JR route letter and still nothing heard back from the ISD. For some people it takes like a 13-15 months, for some people it takes even longer, and no one knows the reaosn.

Are we supposed to send updated/renewed IRP card copy to ISD? I asked my solicitor and she said "they can see it from system" so I didn't bother to send it.

With the validity of irp. At the time of application i gave them an expired gnib but that expired card was still valid for a few months as the minister announced automatic extension.

But yes we have to update the department with a valid irp card as i did. If you will not update than they will request for an up to date residency card.

So your solicitor may be right but they do request a valid irp, i would suggest you do the same.

But i haven't received any acknowledgement after sending an irp. Solicitor said that your application continues to be processed.

Not gonna mix this with 2021 timeline topic.

I submitted my application in January 2021, I received passport, acknowledgement, reference number and receipt of payment in March 2021.

I received email reply few days ago that my application is currently at an advanced stage of processing. While it is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

I was surprised because I didn't expect advanced stage so early  , considering the level of waiting time for people who applied 2-3 Years ago.

Anyone in the same situation?
Hi
