Naturalization application with expiring IRP?

Hi everyone,

My partner recently received Eu3 approval and she would now like to apply for naturalization based on 5 years residency.. we have applied for the new IRP card online but I guess she will get in January or later, her current IRP is expiring in mid Dec this year.

Would you say it is ok to apply for citizenship now by adding the approval letter from EUTR or is it better to wait for the new IRP card? We could also forward a copy of the new card in January when we receive it I guess...

Will she have 5 years with her current card? If yes, she can apply for citizenship without needing to wait for the new card.

Yup, she does, thanks Littlerr, she actually has more than 6 years.

Yeah just send a copy to them either by letter or by email once you receive the new card.

Hi, congratulation yes she can apply without waiting for new card as long as she has completed full 5 years.
Can you please share timeline for your wife’s EU3 Application how long was the total process thanks

We applied in March 2020… it took 19/20 months, a very long time..
