application returned due to non payment (URGENT)

my friends application was returned as visa fee did not go through due to bank card limitations. acknowledgement letter was already issued and other team member's fees is deducted and he got biometric letter as well.
UKBA advised to send fresh application on another address (Sheffield).

my concern is my visa was finishing on 03-12-2012 and I submitted before that date. Moreover, rules have also changed on 13-12-12.
now will they consider my application according to old rules?

one thng i wana make clear,i had same problem invalid application due to limit on card,,,but they wrote me to send back application on the address which is on application form and i sent back to durham address...why they say u shefield address???

Hello All,

resending application to the address provided by ukba is not a issue as every case worker deal with the case accordingly and same goes with address and at the end you are sending application to UKBA so Address shouldnt be a problem but just follow the instruction and send the application to the address provided.

i believe they ll consider it according to old rules because
they ve already sent the acknowledgement letter
other team member received biometric letter after this incident
as we submitted on 3rd of dec well before last date 12 dec.
pl guid if i m wrong
