I am working as management consultant for GP Practices and there is no legal requirement from GP surgeries that one must be member of Chartered institute as I am working on the bases of my 3 years experience and 1 master degree and 1 PGcert in management.
second question.I have set up direct debit payment for CMI from my personal account can I change it to company account being as Director and employee.

I have been a member of the CMI since 2011 and it depends on the benefits you derive from being a member of the institute, I derive a lot of benefits from the institute personally as the library was instrumental to passing my Change Management exams about 2 weeks ago. So if you are thinking long term and the benefits you will derive then I will advise you to continue your membership.
