Tier 1 Entrepreneur Extension Interview

Post by micnic111 » Fri Mar 20, 2015 12:16 pm

Dear Forum Members,

We got entrepreneur visa back in 2012 as a team. We have already sent our application for extension. Just after 2 days We Both received a letter from home office that "Normally WE(home office) decide the case within 8 weeks but this is not going to be possible in your case due to some exceptionally complex issues.
In start of march My partner received an email to advise he need to attend an interview on 12 march. He been there and they asked me around 5 to 10 questions like previous immigration history, gross profit and how did you know your team member? That's all.

Now Thing is, I haven't got any letter/email for interview. Nothing at all. Is it normal practice to interview only one team member or am I in some kind of trouble?
A team application goes to a same case officer or is there any possibility that different people handling our cases?
What is the time scale of home office to decide an application after interview?
Just to mention we both submitted extension application together along with our dependents.

Your quick response/replies will be highly appreciated

Many Thanks

Abdullah

dig a bit more regarding this issue , home office has adopted a policy of calling people for interviews recently nothing much to worry about just know your business well as that's what they are asking about in interviews .. i hope its a normal procedure from them to satisfy themselves and authenticate the applicant.

the question my partner was asked are as follows :
has he ever taken any english test
which one was it
when it was taken
where it was taken
which modules and how many modules
how the test was taken
same day or different day
how much did you pay
how did you pay
who paid for you
how did you know about the institute where you took the test
how much did you score in each module
which module do you think you were good at
In which module you took high marks

Thanks. I know of someone who applied through immigration solicitors and it took 3-4 weeks. Does it mean if you apply through directly it takes longer than applying through solicitors.

its better to be on the safe side and send it through solicitor just in case and if it is straight forward case you get an early answer but 6-8 weeks is the standard time that home office has specified in the guidelines.
