call from case worker

hi friends

i m updating this question on behalf of my friend, couple of days ago my frined call UKVI about current application status. they ask the detail and after that they said ur case worker will ring u in few days time. has anybody got similar experience ? he applied around 5 months ago

No,its not an interview call
CW will call you to update your visa application status.
Please share when you will get a call from CW .

The CW might call you if sees fit, particularly if you need to send extra documents or clarify certain things in your case urgently.
Interview is separate thing and will be conducted by other civil servants, not the case worker.

I rang UKVI today in order to check any update about my extension application. They sed same thing that CW will call me in 2 to 5 working days to update my application status however,i received an email after 1 hour of my call by UKVI .

They explained that my application has not been decided yet and they are unable to tell how long it take.

Also they mentioned that if CW need any further information/documents,CW will contact.


I applied for E on 9 March 2017 ,no complex letter no other updates apart of this email i got today.

Hi , would you mind sharing the email address from which you received email from Ukvi as I need to make sure I have that email address marked as safe sender , as I receive a lot of junk mail and they go to the junk folder instead of inbox , just want to make sure I don't miss any email from them .

I wasted 40 min today and after passing on details the e-mail reply came as generic not decided which she already told me will be a generic message.

What a wastage of time. Anyhow we can not do anything

i call them they said CW will ring me in 2 to 5 working days. nobody rang me its been more than a week n no email so far. anyway they did not ask me about my email address. they just confirm my mobile no.
