"Tier 1 (Post Study Work) - MODERATORs please Help -URG

I have applied for "Tier 1 (Post Study Work) - IGS - Transitional Arrangement" and my application was reject on basis of Maintenance (Funds) Requirement.

I came to Uk on Student Visa in 2006 Aug & then in Jan 07 i was given ONE YEAR IGS Visa & i am entiltled for another year under new system.

I didn't realsie about new Maintenance (Funds) Requirement & kept on sending money for loan repayment, i was confused about this hence got it clarified at enquiry number & also had written confirmation from IND Public Enquiries <UKBApublicenquiries@UKBA.gsi.gov.uk> , they said
Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be advised providing you have filled out section 3b You will not be required to meet the points requirement if you are applying under this transitional arrangement.

Please send as much documentary evidence to support your application.

But still my application was rejected.

My Visa had expired on 28th Jan 09.

I want to appeal agianst this decision, as i am sure i should be getitng another YEAR Visa:-

Please can you help me with answer to below question:-

1> Till which date i can still live the UK
2> Can i still work
3> What's my status & can i request a letter from HO ,which can be given to my employer
4> What's the best way to appeal against this

Any help in this matter would be MOST APPRACITED, it's gonna affect my LIFE to a very large Extent.
