psw applicant in worry, psw ends just before I can apply?

Post by fibreman » Mon Nov 29, 2010 3:21 pm

Hello all, I am new here... I see there have been more topics about psw recently. I am finishing my undergrad this year, and was expecting to use this visa... I've invested enormous money in good university here. I am applying for jobs now, however, not even knowing whether I will need work permit which most won't sponsor, or just psw which makes it easier.

I expect to get my certificate by August. I fear these changes are going to hit me also, and I live in worry because of this almost every day. I fear that doors will be shut on me on my nose. Many such cases exist.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no date for abolishment of psw, right?
Assuming they start consultation, then talk with unversities, within government... I hardly see they can reach a decision before April or May, and even then, they would have to give it few month ahead to take effect?
Am I right? For work permits, the consultation was in October, decision made now but taking effect from April... what do you think?

Do you think it can close instantly? Would they force this, and can how many of us are needed to challenge this? Atleast, for us who finish now... this year. Considering history and all, can it be in flash, for next day? Does it need to pass parliament or smth?

We've left so much money here, and now we're basically in line for being "expelled"... instead they shoudl target bogus colleges and illegals(100s of thousands just in London). Australia, Germany, USA and others have this visa type, they want to keep the best students or give them some chance of experience.

U can't imagine how worried I am now...

I am thinking the same thing, partly for me but mostly for my girlfriend who will graduate come June 2011.
As for me, I have already graduated, but due to utter stupidity from UKBA my last Tier4 was refused and am having to appear in court. Hence I am not being able to apply for PSW and am fearing that by the time I apply it may be abolished.

I guess we just have to wait and see, and pray the changes come into affect as late as possible.

Then, my friend, u know how it is, I think about this everyday... am not sure what I will do if we get played on this. I guess we can lobby or even try to take it to court? I understand if they implement changes for those next year, but I finish in july... I stand with you people if there is anything we can do.
Also, I'm in one of top universities, not lazy, very hardworking and respect everything here. We will be the sacrifice lambs for all those illegals they can't even find... how sad!

Yea, well, the point is not about next year or year after. The question is about commitment, if some one took admission this year to do ordinary or honour degree by the understanding of PSW after three/four year respectively what should he do? The easy answer might be if he got too much money he should spend it for much better purpose rather than draining in the economy of crooks. If that was all his family saving then he is foolish taking illusions seriously.
