PSW a second time?

Post by eddie_fox » Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:06 pm

Hi,

I had a query regarding PSW for the future (I am not due for one another 2 and a half years now).

I completed my post gradualtion in 2009 and had applied for a 2 year PSW visa, which was approved. I stayed in Uk for a few months on PSW and then went back to India. I then re-entered UK in 2010 to pursue a PhD and hence applied for a 'student visa' which is valid till Sep 2013. In the process my PSW visa which still had an year to go was cancelled as I was now a student.

Basically my query is, now that I have already had a valid PSW visa once, though cancelled before completion of 2 years, am I elligible to apply for another PSW once I complete my PhD (when it happens)? I ask this as I reckon, logically, since I am doing a new educational course, and hence a new student visa, am I not elligible for another PSW to try and find a job?

Please advice.

Thank you,
Eddie Fox

No. Tier 1 (PSW) leave is granted once in a lifetime (under current rules).
