Full time study and part time work on psw visa

Post by umerali125 » Sat Aug 20, 2011 3:02 am

I just got a small query regarding my status on psw visa .. I am applying for my psw visa at the end of this months as i got my uk bachelors degree . i am currently working part time and wanted to continue working part time as i am undertaking a postgraduate course. Can i still continue my postgraduate study on the psw visa because going back to student visa is not a good option for me because firstly the psw is getting scrapped in feb 2012 and secondly students wont be even allowed to work part time . Home office does not provide any clear guidance on this...

Your Suggestion will be highly appreciated

1)The Tier 1 PSW scheme will be closed in April 2012.

2) No idea about studying while you are on PSW ( experts please guide)

3)IMHO, you can apply for PSW, once your expiry of PSW, plan your Post graduate course

Thank you very much for such a quick reply . The university has given me an unconditional offer and consulting with their advisory team as long as i am working and studying i am full filling the requirement of my psw visa .My only worry is if i travel abroad ( which i am in nov) while returning back to the uk do the immigration officer has a right to refuse my entry on the basis that i am working part time not full time ? if i say to the immigration officer that the reason of my main stay in the uk is to work or seek employment can they find out from their data base that i am engaged in a full time education as well which can cause any problem for me ?
Your Suggestions will be highly appreciated

you are suppose to be 'looking' for a job while on a psw visa.... so the fact you got a job already is a plus! doesnt matter if its part time or full time
