Query about acknowledgement letter. Kindly help

did any of you guys get the acknowledgement letter????. I read it on the post office site that crossed postal orders can only be deposited in the bank account, maybe thats the reason for the delay. I'm gonna ring the post office anyways on Monday to check if my postal orders have been cashed by the home office. Hope everything is ok.

I got mine on friday, exactly a week after submission. Hoping others are on the way as well.

No ack letter as of yet. I called up home office today and they said its been not even the month end and generally takes 6-8 working days and each application is judged on its own merits. They got no idea about the letter, it seems. Asked me to check with the royal mail if it was delivered, i said it was delivered the very next day. I must say the lady on the phone didnt sound so polite. They should learn some humility and customer service skills first.

Anybody, who applied on or before 14th January and waiting for the acknowledgement letter??

I applied on 5th January and haven't received the letter yet....

hi, i was hoping someone could help with this too. i applied on the 15th of jan 2010 (friday), they received it that monday, the money for the visa fee has gone off but i haven't received a letter yet. has this happened to anyone else?

I applied on 14th and still no response from the home office yet.

I sent mine on the 22nd January - didn't get delivered till the 25th according to Royal Mai's recorded delivery (still no electronic signature).

I have not received any acknowledgement letter and neither has the funds been deducted from my credit card. I'm very worried in case I put something wrong on my payment form.

To top that - my current employer has ended my contract as I cannot produce an acknowledgement letter - so, now frustrated as well!

i received mine today...it is dated 19/01/10; a week after i initially applied, so that means it was issued on d 19 of jan but dnt know why it took so long to be delivered.....anyway i was in a similar situation too....i paid with my debit card and d money wasnt deducted from my account for a week...dat made me worried too but eventually it happened after a week....so no need to worry about....some1 told me dat d HO was busy clearing d back log from xmas...so yours will come soon too.

I received mine today as well. Its dated 19th January, same as you. Hope, we get the visa together and soon mate. stay in touch. tc

Well, today saw that my credit card was charged Â£500 - so that is good news.

Although - I did get very worried when I didn't see it being charged and sent a letter with a new payment form with all my details just in case (I tend to be a worry wart!!).

I posted my application on the 5th January, The money was taken the following day but I have not as yet received an acknowledgement letter!

My concern is, what is they've sent it with the biometric letter and it's lost?

will they send it again?

I applied on 26th jan. money was deducted from my account on 30th jan however no sign of acknowledgement letter

Guys not everyone gets an acknowledgement letter. I sent my application with postal orders on the 6th of Jan. Didn't get any acknowledgement but got the biometric invitation last week.

It's not necessary to get an acknowledgement!
