Under going surgery and claiming benefits

Post by sohail_e » Thu Dec 19, 2013 6:21 pm

Hi

I have recently got my ILR and I was holding my knee surgery for this. My knee surgery requires almost 8 months to recover.

1) Could you please let me know which benefits I may claim?. I got 2 kids and my wife is pregnant, so I wanted to make sure how I will cope with housing and other needs before requesting this surgery.

2) Would talking benefits effects towards naturalization/nationality process?

Thanks in advance!!

Sore knee won't stop you from working - ATOS will make sure of that...

Are you working now?

You should be looking at ESA. Claiming benefits will not affect a citizenship application. I suggest you pop into your local CAB.
