Council house

Hello I would like to ask please if I can apply for a council house....I am on ILR and my husband is still on spouse visa...can I apply joint or just myself? Thank you.

You as holder of ILR are entitled to apply for council house. Not sure about joint application. Other might comment.

You can only be granted a council house as a single person, or a single person with children (if applicable). Not as a couple.

Hello Casa, you mean I will apply as a single person and what will happen to my husband? Will he come with me just in case I will be granted a council house?

Your husband can live with you, but the decision will only be made on whether you qualify for a council house as a single person.
