Child benefit

Hi ,

Need your advise, My on ILR , wife on PBS dependent, My son is british with Indian passport and Right of Abode, he is currently in India and will be joining me within 2 months. Is it possible to claim Child benefit now as it takes upto 8 weeks to process by then they will be joining me.

Please advise.

I suppose you could submit the claim now if you've got all the required documents and explain that he's on holiday and will be arriving in 8 weeks. You can have temporary absences, but I assume that's when a claim is already active. See the guide (click).
