Please Advise: Tax Credit and Joint Account with ex partner

Post by fatimahh » Wed Feb 26, 2014 9:32 am

Hi - i will really appreciate if someone could share their view on my situation. i am a EEA2 residence card holder and divorce is being process. i have a 1 year hold daughter who is attending nursery as i am working. therefore i claimed tax credit and currently only get the child care element.
The problem is while declaring my income i did not mention the joint account used by my ex as i do not have access to it he's got both card, as we decide to open it just for him. I have now received a letter from tax office asking for all my bank statement including joint account. So i really don't know what to do now. Will they consider that i did not declare all my incomes although this is not my money?

Please advise
GOD BLESS!!!
