No PUBLIC FUNDS and CB and CTC

Post by StruggleisReal » Wed May 28, 2014 12:42 am

Hi there,

I have been looking through the posts but could not see the answer to my questions. I apologise if it has been answered before.

I have a leave to remain for two years, and on the back of my permit, it says NO PUBLIC FUNDS. I am looking after my 15 years old sister and used to receive CB and child tax credit before for her, because I was on EE2, but due to my fallout with EEA national, my father, I had to change the pathway and applied for SET (O) and as a result got 2 years discretionary leave.

I would liked to add here that the child in question has got indefinite leave to remain.

My question to you is can I continue receiving child benefit and child tax credits for her or do I have to stop them.

Can anyone please answer my question.

Thank you very much in advance.

You have to stop but you can write to the Home Office and ask them to give you access to public funds in the best interest of the child.
