Hi Moderators and Seniors,

I am asking this question on behalf of my friend he has been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain since 20th July 2012 to July 2018 (3 years+3 years) .
his approval letter clearly mentioned :
Entitlements
''you are free to take job and do not need the permission of any Government before doing so. You are free to use the National Health Service and the Social Services ,and other services provided by local authorities as you need them''.

On the bases of above wording is he is allowed to take Child Benefit , Child Tax Credit or Housing Benefit .?
