Filling out the housing benefit form?

Post by gazza1990 » Thu Aug 06, 2009 10:46 pm

I am fillling out the housing benefit form for house that me, my wife, and young baby share.

Me and my baby are british but my wife is not. She is currently on a two year spouse visa and shall be applying for ilr in a year or so.

I understand that we are able to claim, but should I avoid naming her in any part of the application and just pretend she won't be in the house, or shall I fill in everything. The form is quite explicit in wanting partner details.

On a side note, are those named as "YOUR PARTNER" and not "YOU" on tax credit, housing benefit forms, etc technically trying to access public funds? An important point for eu/non-eu marriages.
