hey everyone,im originally from Czech republic and have lived in the UK for about 4 years.I have a 5 months old baby girl who was born in the UK and have british nationality because my partner and her father is british.We have received a letter today saying that we cannot get benefits for our daughter because they havent got enough informations that i have the right to reside in the UK.I dont really understand this because im registred with Home office and im from EU so i have the right to reside here? Also my partner works full time and pay taxes so surely we should be entitled to it?Can anyone help please?

Yes u can! Tho it's not much compared to the Kindergeld in Germany....

I think CB is about 70 quid a month, kindergeld around 200......

i know its not much but we could really do with that.My daughter has only british nationality so i cant claim benefits for her anywhere else and from what i know is that you can get child benefit if you ordinary live in the UK and have a child under 16 so i dont understand why they made the desicion that we cannot get it.Im also registred with home office so im not here ilegally!
